Subject: [uk-lnx] Final Beta of TextMaker for Linux

Date: 2003-4-18 20:38

We have now built a release candidate (revision 381) of TextMaker
which fixes all known (and reproducible!) bugs and is
"feature-complete".

Important changes:

- Printing of TrueType (TTF) fonts now supported
- CUPS printers displayed in Print dialog
- GhostView offered as "printer" in Print Dialog
- Generating PDFs (ps2pdf) directly from TextMaker supported
- Bugs fixed in print output generation
- Sending e-mails also in Microsoft Word .doc file format
- Numerous fixes and improvements in the Word and HTML filters

Minor fixes:

- Horizontal scrolling in the file dialog
- Mouse repeat on the scrollbars
- Hyperlinks are displayed with underlines
- CapsLock doesn't influence the arrow keys anymore
- Loading of documents through the command line now supported
- All known crashes fixed

If you want to use TextMaker for Central European, Baltic, or
Cyrillic languages, this update has important improvements:
The default font "Roman-PS" now contains CE, Baltic, and
Cyrillic characters, and you can set the default font encoding
in Extras > Preferences.
